August Rush!

T'was August! And the rush was real! I was buying and packing all my things for my first time-overseas tour on Malaysia and Singapore. The excitement was on the same level for my family members too. The flight trip was a bit boring and shaky due to the turbulence. A John Grisham's book and old rock music helped me through the journey. After finishing all the formalities at the airport I was headed to the Hotel at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where we were staying for the rest of the week.
The road was maintained so cleanly, the flora and fauna among the city was brilliant and breathtaking to watch. First thing I realized while travelling through the city was that, no one hit the horns in their vehicle. It was surprising to see people following such discipline. Then one thing lead to another and I was back in Chennai. I don't even remember how fast was the whole week at Malaysia and Singapore passed. The rush was real indeed.

Infrastructure and People: Singapore and Malaysia is an architectural beauty! Each Building has its own characteristics unique style. A taxi driver in Malaysia was explaining to me, the city's architectural history. He said that the first architect had planned to build the roads first, having an entire layout, an entire map to be precise. They laid the roads first and naturally the buildings and places were connected it seems. Same rule was applied to Singapore later. The idea was quite brilliant. I hope that India had done this a long while ago. The flora and fauna of these cities were left untouched as the structures were not increased in width, instead they increased the heights. That was an exceptional idea too. Though the city's parameter was about 30-40 kms. It was planned really good and cultural importance in these places was also balanced altogether. The temples, the palaces, the ancient caves and tombs were also maintained with such care as if it was built yesterday.
Coming to the culture of the people, most of them were Muslims as I spotted 50-70% of the women and girls wearing hijab. And the rest followed nothing from the looks of it. I may give a stereotypical assumption in this part. As far as I saw, everyone were calm and composed and taking care of their own business. Everyone were passionate on what they were doing. I could see smiles all over. And they give a smile and wish you well if you're lucky. And spotting a non-smoker is a rarity in these parts. Even though these people are mostly good at heart, they're bad in their stomach. They have one of the poorest hygiene. They usually eat fast foods, tinned foods and juices with lots of ice in them(Note: Ice exceeds the content of the liquid). But, there are a lots of good restaurants if you wanna go and eat. Raja Chulang street is one of the famous food streets at Kuala Lumpur, having almost 30-50 cafes/resto-bars/ pubs, you name them! That part of the city lights up the night life.
Landmarks:
There are 48 Landmarks all over at Malaysia. And it takes more than a week to see everything. Sadly, I couldn't remember the important places at Singapore. The only island I couldn't forget was Sentosa! This place was a fun Island and it had all sorts of fun in it. Resorts, Casinos, beaches, Universal studios, The marine aquarium and lots and lots of stuffs which had pure content of happiness in it. I'll enclose all the photos which I took below this article.
The Malaysian landmarks made us tiring were we saw almost 30 places in the Hop On-Hop Off tour bus, which is run by the government of Malaysia and the service is incredibly good. The bird park and the butterfly park was scenic and it was obviously hectic as it covered a long radius. My fitbit read 10,00 steps and 13 kms by walk. And I lost it over there at the bird park after looking at it. (laughs) Probably, the whole day would've made me cover 25kms(approx). Thus the day passed by.
The Daddy O's at universal studious grabbed most of my attention. As I liked, funky old music and they were exactly doing that. The place was mesmerizing, fun and informative altogether. I learnt more stuffs there. I wasn't even on the mood to rest even if it was tiring.
After all the fun, I was really glad to test out all the antique materials at "the Mariott". The wifi costed me 10$. I seriously don't know why i switched that on. And I had some jobs on booking tickets for the return flight. Just then I was alone with a guy in the elevator. I was casually looking and he looked at me and asked, how I was doing. And astonishingly I said, "I'm fine! How are you?". He replied in affirmation and i was curious to know where he was from and he said that he was from "Argentina". So, the next thing I think about is "Leo Messi" and I asked him whether he liked Messi. He surprisingly replied he loved "Ronaldo". I was confused for a moment and questioned him further. He was serious on what he said and disappeared with a "bye". He offered me to join him at the pub though. For me being tired and with my family and having trust issues; I politely declined his offer and got back to my job. It was really pleasing to know that people socialize so well and we are still cursing each other here( laughs).
BOTTOM-LINE:
What I Learnt?:
One of the most important things I've learnt from comparing these developed countries to our country was that, we blame the government, we blame the politicians, we blame higher authorities, we blame the nation for its lack of resources, we blame the neighbor and the list goes on and on, BUT It is all about "US"! You, Me, Him, Her, Us and Them. We should change in order to bring a change to our beloved nation. The trip made me realize that we are so rich in resource and land. We are the one's who are wasting it. The one who tells the rules for Discipline doesn't follow it and as well as ourselves. We blame them and we ourselves do not follow it!
I also learnt that, how peaceful it can be if we just care for each other. And doing things passionately can absolutely bring a reduction in the workload of a Nation's development. People should be calm and peaceful in doing their work. And when can it be achieved? Only when one does his/her work with passion!
I'll finish this work with some of the pictures I captured over there:
